Other important features of the Advanced Bionics implant
- The ability to undergo a 3 Tesla MRI without surgically removing the implant and without a head bandage.
- The special T-Mic™ microphone picks up sound directly from within the outer ear and delivers it to the speech processor. One of the distinctive features of Advanced Bionics cochlear implants is T-Mic technology. It's a special microphone positioned at the entrance to the ear canal that uses the natural shape of the outer ear to help capture sound.
